Jenny Lee
Nature Inspired Artist
I am from Los Alamos, New Mexico, and received my bachelors degree from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. I have a B.A. in Anthropology with a concentration in Biological Anthropology and a minor in Zoology. I have been drawing and painting for many years, and my creative thinking has been applicable in many facets of my life. During my undergraduate career, I worked on multiple projects consisting of reconstructing extinct, fossil mammals as well as scientific illustration. Now I have found joy in painting on various materials including glass, terracotta pots, candles, and jaw bones.

Sourcing Info
All bones are ethically sourced from a local taxidermy shop, found naturally, or from other shops with the same ethics.
All butterflies are sourced via a local Colorado shop, Little Caterpillar, that partners with local conservancies.
Sustainability
Sustainability is at the heart of my creative process. I prioritize upcycling materials from thrift stores, garage sales, and secondhand sources to reduce waste and environmental impact. Whenever possible, I also source locally to support community-based suppliers and minimize my carbon footprint.
